The Hub is a combination flagship library and student center at Shanghai American School’s Puxi campus. Part of a massive rebranding project, the Hub represents a marquee sub-brand with an extensive signage component.
I toured the then-unfinished building with my colleagues to get a better understanding of the anticipated spaces, lines of sight, flow, &c. We worked closely with the architects and client to account for structural changes, ultimately creating an identity system and corresponding signage system that extensively incorporated the wood slat accents seen throughout.
